Dear friends

Few could argue that 2025 has been anything but challenging, not only from a business perspective  but also geopolitically. With a range of issues emerging towards the end of 2024 and into early 2025, we moved forward cautiously, setting budgets and expectations accordingly. This caution proved prudent, but like many in our industry, the year has ultimately been somewhat lack lustre.

Despite the difficulties we have continued to service and support our customers to the high standards you expect. As ever we are extremely grateful for your business and the confidence you continue to place in us and in our market leading products. Now, as we look ahead to 2026, we do so ready to continue the good fight.

For regular readers of my annual missives, you may recall that twelve months ago I mentioned adopting a strategy of delegating more responsibility to the management team, a move which turned out to be very successful. This year I took that approach a step further with the appointment of a Managing Director, Paul de Beer, while I moved into the role of CEO. Paul joined in August and has been finding his feet, his plan is to begin meeting many of you during the coming year. It is now sixteen years since I led the MBO, and never has there been better time for new ideas. Inevitably, Paul brings many of his own, and his input will inject fresh energy and perspective. The entire team will be there to support him and I wish him every success.

Finally I would also like to once again wish every one of you a very happy holiday season, along with good health, prosperity and peace.

Regards

Howard
