Dear friends

It’s an overused cliché but this year really has passed like a blink of an eye, in fact it feels that the last two years vanished in a flash. Perhaps it’s because of the pain we have all suffered and the subconscious creates denial. Post covid those businesses fortunate enough to survive would be forgiven for using another cliché, “what a difference a year makes”, or in this case a couple of years.

As 2023 becomes 2024 we find ourselves breaking records, reporting record turnover, in fact the highest in the company’s long history, coupled with record profits. It’s not been plain sailing, the supply chain continues to be troublesome, not as bad as it was, but still unpredictable, causing unexpected delivery delays. For those of you who have been affected, we appreciate your patience and understanding.

Despite the ongoing challenges we have not been resting on our laurels, our tradition of product innovation has continued unabated. Be on the lookout for new product launches in 2024. We have invested in new test equipment including an impressive, automated Coordinate Measuring Machine, automatic PCB inspection equipment, a new environmental chamber and our team of talented engineers have designed a variety of bespoke automatic test equipment for the HMI’s themselves. All this enhances and speeds up our manufacturing processes, freeing up staff to do other tasks.

And talking of staff, we have grown there too, adding new members to all departments. Excitingly these include a number of young bright Graduates who join us with the energy and creativity we need to empower our growth and continued success. I’m excited to say, more news on these aspects will follow.

And finally, I’m delighted to announce, after previous absences we will this year be attending OTC in May and I look forward to seeing you in Houston. In the meantime, I will end by wishing you the very best of health over the holiday season together with prosperity and peace in 2024.
